Habitat staff and volunteers attend fire extinguisher training

Heath and safety is our number one priority at Habitat and we aim to ensure our staff and volunteers have proper training to keep our ReStores and build sites safe.

Recently, staff and volunteers attended fire extinguisher training at the Grimsby Fire Station. Hands on training and education were provided by Jay and Christian who made the learning enjoyable and interesting for the attendees who learned the proper use of fire extinguishers in a real world setting.

Our Grimsby ReStore has a partnership with the fire station as they provide unwanted furniture and home décor items for firefighter training and burn cell simulators.

Community partnerships like this one are such an important relationship to help build stronger communities. Thanks to the Grimsby Fire Station for providing this training.
